Biden/Harris admin slaps hurricane victims in the face with this brutal response

Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are arguably the worst administration in modern American history. This latest blunder only solidifies that.

And the Biden/Harris admin slaps hurricane victims in the face with this brutal response.

In a troubling revelation, the Biden-Harris administration has reportedly diverted over $1 billion in taxpayer funds, originally intended for disaster relief, to support resources for illegal immigrants.

According to The Federalist, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) allocated nearly $364 million in 2023 and an additional $650 million for the 2024 fiscal year to the “Shelter and Services Program,” which assists noncitizens released by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

This program, run in cooperation with U.S. Customs and Border Protection, focuses on providing shelter and services to those who have crossed the border illegally. The reallocation of these funds is now raising serious concerns as FEMA struggles to meet the needs of Americans affected by natural disasters like Hurricane Helene.

On Wednesday, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas addressed the issue, acknowledging the shortfall in FEMA’s long-term funding for disaster relief.

“We are meeting the immediate needs with the money that we have. We are expecting another hurricane hitting,” Mayorkas told reporters, as reported by the Associated Press. He added grimly, “FEMA does not have the funds to make it through the season.”

Currently, Americans in North Carolina, Georgia, and other states are trapped in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, still awaiting assistance. As resources dwindle, frustration is growing among those affected by the storm.

Donald Trump Jr. took to X, writing, “So FEMA is almost out of money to help with Federal Emergencies (you know the FE in FEMA) because they spent almost $1,000,000,000 helping illegal immigrants over the last two years. Got it, but probably tough to explain to those not getting the help they need in GA and NC!”

Amid the delays in government assistance, some Americans have taken matters into their own hands. One such person is South Carolina pilot Jordan Seidhom, who made efforts to rescue stranded victims in North Carolina by airlifting them to safety. Unfortunately, his heroic efforts were met with threats of arrest for violating flight restrictions.

Seidhom managed to save two women who were stranded on a mountain with no supplies.

“They only had one day of supplies, which was gone by Saturday. They didn’t have any food, water, no running water, no power. And we were coming back this direction anyway, so we actually took them to Charlotte-Douglas Airport, and they were able to fly home from there,” Seidhom told Queen City News.

As he flew out of the area, he noticed even more people in need of help.

“We spotted within 300, 400 yards of their location [people] were waving for help as my son and I were leaving,” Seidhom added, highlighting the ongoing desperation in the region.

While the government faces increasing scrutiny for its spending decisions, everyday Americans are stepping up to fill the gaps, even in the face of bureaucratic hurdles.

But the question remains: will FEMA be able to assist U.S. citizens during future disasters, or will diverted funds by the Biden/Harris admin continue to hamper relief efforts?

Based on how the current presidential administration has misused relief funds, let’s hope we don’t have to find out.
