Deep blue state is facing major heat after what this Republican revealed

Blue states are in a rough spot. They are failing at almost every level.

And this deep blue state is facing major heat after what this Republican revealed.

House Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. James Comer is sounding the alarm on a massive government funding scandal ripping off American taxpayers, and this time the epicenter is deep in blue state California.

On Tuesday night’s edition of Fox News Channel’s Hannity, Comer laid bare how the Golden State’s waste and abuse makes recent Minnesota revelations look like pocket change.

Independent journalist Nick Shirley first cracked open the corruption in Minneapolis, but his follow-up work in California has uncovered a racket so enormous it defies belief.

“Look, Nick Shirley, you know, broke this story in Minneapolis,” Sean Hannity stated. “He struck again in California. How much money are we looking at here, and where is your investigation going?”

Comer didn’t mince words. The scale in California is staggering, and the Oversight team is just getting started.

“You could multiply what we found in Minnesota probably by 10 in California. That’s how bad it is. And what we’re hoping in this investigation is we have the same success we had in Minnesota with whistleblowers coming forward, reaching out to me or other Oversight Committee members to sit down and do transcribed interviews so that we can finally figure out who’s responsible for this fraud,” Comer stated.

“What we know in California just with respect to hospice — of all the government entities, hospice is the one that I don’t think there would be anyone out there that wouldn’t have full support for hospice at our worst time of need. Hospice alone, $3.5 billion just in Los Angeles County.”

Even hospice care, the very program meant to comfort families during their darkest hours, has become a golden ticket for grifters in California. The numbers Comer dropped should make every working American’s blood boil.

“And what that amounts to, Sean, is the whole hospice budget for the United States last year, 18% of all the billing was in Los Angeles County, and that’s not 18% of the population of America,” Comer added.

“In that one county and it’s a big county, 18% of the entire billing for the United States. It is rampant in California, and Gavin Newsom knew it and hasn’t done a thing about it.”

This isn’t some minor accounting error. Los Angeles County alone swallowed nearly one-fifth of the entire nation’s hospice spending last year, despite representing a tiny slice of the American population. Hardworking families from coast to coast are footing the bill while Democrat insiders and their cronies line their pockets.

The pattern is unmistakable. Blue state machines like California’s have turned federal programs into personal piggy banks, siphoning off cash that should go to veterans, seniors, or border security. Instead, it vanishes into a black hole of fake claims and no-show services.

Comer’s committee scored major wins in Minnesota by empowering brave whistleblowers who stepped forward with the truth. Now the same playbook is unfolding in California, and patriots across the country are watching closely.

This scandal strikes at the heart of what millions of voters are fed up with: a ruling class that preaches compassion while enabling outright theft from the public treasury. Hospice should be sacred ground for families facing the end of life, not a slush fund for fraudsters.
