Democrat former ally flips the script on Kamala and she’s steaming mad

Harris’ poll numbers are flagging. She can’t stand to see anymore bad press.

But now a Democrat former ally flips the script on Kamala and she’s steaming mad.

HBO host Bill Maher didn’t mince words when he assessed Vice President Kamala Harris’ struggling prospects in the 2024 presidential race, calling it a bad omen for the Democrats as they scramble to drum up support for her among Black men just weeks before Election Day.

Harris, who has continuously failed to connect with key voter bases, is now seeing cracks even among a demographic that should naturally support her.

During Friday’s episode of “Real Time with Bill Maher,” the comedian hit hard, saying, “It’s not looking that great for the Democrats,” opening his show with a brutal commentary on the race.

He pointed out the obvious problem:

“This is not a good sign… when you have an African American candidate, you probably shouldn’t be having to shore up your support among Black men, but that’s what’s going on.”

Harris’ appeal among Black male voters, or lack thereof, took center stage this week, especially after former President Barack Obama felt the need to publicly chastise Black men for not getting behind Harris like they once did for him.

At a campaign stop in Pittsburgh, Obama practically begged for enthusiasm, admitting, “We have not yet seen the same kinds of energy and turnout… as we saw when I was running.”

He even suggested that gender might be a sticking point, saying, “I’m speaking to men directly… you just aren’t feeling the idea of having a woman as president.”

Maher skewered the Harris campaign’s plan to send Gov. Tim Walz, Harris’ running mate, out to connect with Black male voters.

In classic Maher fashion, he quipped, “Who better to connect with young Black men than Tim Walz? Because apparently Michael Bublé was unavailable.”

The audience erupted in laughter, and Maher took it even further, “Meanwhile, Kim Kardashian’s like, ‘Hello?’”

Maher also couldn’t resist poking fun at Obama’s latest attempt to rally voters.

“Obama even came out yesterday to scold… He was saying, ‘You gotta vote for Harris,’” Maher mocked.

But the comedian perfectly captured the absurdity of the situation with his final punchline, “It’s a tough choice… Harris is African American, but Trump has a sneaker line.”

Later in the show, Maher and his panel dissected Harris’ polling woes, pointing out that she’s lagging far behind where Biden was at the same point in 2020, despite having more resources at her disposal.

Maher didn’t hold back when comparing her to both Biden and Hillary Clinton, noting that Harris is only “2.6 points up” while Biden and Hillary were miles ahead in previous election cycles.

For Kamala Harris, the writing is on the wall, and not even Barack Obama’s scolding, or Tim Walz’s awkward outreach, seems to be enough to salvage a campaign that’s flailing in the home stretch.
