There’s a major culture shift going on in America. More and more people are opening up about their support for Donald Trump.
And Democrats are outraged after the NFL ditches woke policies and teams up with Trump instead.
NFL’s Stance on Trump Dance Craze: No Plans to Intervene
As the Trump Dance craze continues to sweep through the NFL, some critics are voicing disapproval, hoping the league will step in to halt the trend. But according to Front Office Sports (FOS), the NFL has no intention of putting an end to these celebrations.
League spokesman Brian McCarthy told FOS there’s “no issue” with the celebratory dances and no plans to prohibit them.
“There’s no issue with a celebratory dance such as what took place yesterday or the previous week with the 49ers on November 10,” McCarthy explained. When it comes to TV coverage, he clarified, “It’s up to the networks to cover them as they see fit.”
Simply put, the NFL will neither discourage players from performing the Trump Dance nor instruct broadcasters to avoid airing it.
This permissive approach has raised questions about consistency in the league’s enforcement of rules.
Critics point to a notable example: Joey Bosa was fined for wearing a MAGA hat during an interview, yet performing a dance inspired by Donald Trump’s iconic gestures seems to draw no similar penalty.
The key difference lies in the NFL’s rules. Touchdown celebrations are allowed as long as they don’t cross into excessive profanity or s*xual suggestiveness. On the other hand, league regulations prohibit players from wearing or displaying personal or political statements on their attire.
This distinction explains why Bosa’s MAGA hat earned a fine while his participation in the Trump Dance on November 10 did not.
Since then, other players, including Brock Bowers, Nick Bosa, Za’Darius Smith, Malcolm Rodriguez, and Calvin Ridley, have joined the trend, enthusiastically doing the Trump dance after key plays.

If the league had attempted to clamp down on Trump Dance celebrations, it might have faced significant backlash—not just from fans but from Donald Trump himself, who would likely seize the opportunity to criticize the NFL.
Such a move would also require the league to reconcile its current stance with its response to the Kaepernick protests, which were overtly political and explicitly aimed at advocating for social change.
The Trump Dance, by contrast, doesn’t overtly disrupt games or violate league rules against vulgarity. Additionally, it lacks an overtly political message, making it more challenging for the NFL to justify restricting it.
The league appears mindful of avoiding another clash with Trump, especially after his criticism of the NFL during the Kaepernick protests. As FOS’s Michael McCarthy points out, Trump’s vocal opposition may have contributed to an 8% and 10% drop in NFL viewership during the 2016 and 2017 seasons, respectively.
For now, the NFL’s position is clear: the Trump Dance celebrations will continue, as long as they remain within the bounds of league rules.
And that response alone is likely causing Leftist NFL fans to lose their minds.
