Donald Trump secures massive endorsement that’s crippled the Harris campaign

Trump is racking up supporters from all across the country. But this might be a game changer.

As Donald Trump has secured a massive endorsement that’s crippled the Harris campaign.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal has officially thrown its support behind former President Donald Trump for the upcoming November election. Their endorsement, detailed in a recent opinion piece, highlights several critical factors: the current administration’s failures with inflation, an ongoing border crisis, and Vice President Kamala Harris’s shifting policy stances.

Despite Trump’s actions – which they view as “disappointing and indefensible” – during the events of January 6, 2021, the newspaper argues that the issues under President Biden’s leadership warrant looking beyond Trump’s past controversies.

“The hurricane of history charts a chaotic course,” wrote the Review-Journal, encapsulating the political upheaval of recent months. According to the paper, both major political parties have been shaken, leaving voters “unsettled and apprehensive” as they navigate an uncertain political landscape.

The endorsement goes on to summarize a series of chaotic events that have transpired, including two failed assassination attempts on Trump, his conviction on 34 felony counts in New York, and the pivotal debate that led to President Biden’s withdrawal from the race. With Harris stepping in as the Democratic nominee, the Review-Journal criticizes the rapid attempts to reshape her public image.

“Thus began one of the more cynical and ambitious rehabilitation efforts in the history of modern politics,” the paper stated.

It describes Harris as an unpopular figure being rebranded as a figurehead of optimism and likens the transformation to aligning her with historical icons like Abraham Lincoln and Mahatma Gandhi.

The Review-Journal further criticizes Harris for shifting positions on key issues. Once a “San Francisco leftist” who supported the defund-police movement, she’s now portrayed as a “tough-on-crime border hawk.” Additionally, she has reversed course on several policies, including energy, health care, and the Senate filibuster.

The paper argues that Harris’s selective media appearances are part of an orchestrated strategy to avoid unscripted situations, while also noting, “we are under no illusions about Donald Trump.” The endorsement acknowledges that Trump’s behavior surrounding the January 6 riot was “disappointing,” and calls out his “petulant” claims about election rigging.

Nonetheless, the Review-Journal maintains that Trump’s four-year tenure offers a substantial track record for voters to consider.

The paper highlights key accomplishments from his administration, such as global stability, a strong U.S. economy, and the appointment of judges committed to limiting government power. Additionally, they point out Trump’s success in securing the southern border and the rapid development of COVID-19 vaccines.

In contrast, the Review-Journal emphasizes the sharp rise in inflation and national debt during Biden’s presidency, which has contributed to soaring housing costs and interest rates.

The endorsement also criticizes the administration’s handling of immigration, stating that Harris and Biden turned a “blind eye” to the border crisis.

As the newspaper sums it up, “When we weigh the policy results of Mr. Trump’s four years in office against those of Ms. Harris and Mr. Biden, the contrast becomes difficult to ignore. Donald Trump is the better choice.”

The paper’s ownership, since 2015, has been tied to the Adelson family, with Miriam Adelson continuing to oversee the publication following the death of her husband, Sheldon Adelson, who was a major supporter of Trump.

This endorsement is also significant because it comes from a paper that’s in the swing-state of Nevada.

According to the latest poll from FiveThirtyEight, Kamala Harris holds a razor thin lead of 0.5% in the Silver State.

But a major endorsement from the Las Vegas Review-Journal could easily flip that advantage in favor of Donald Trump.
