Our nation’s enemies are alive and well. And they’ve infiltrated the homeland.
And now the FBI announced a terrorist on the loose that put America on high alert.
The FBI has released surveillance video showing an unidentified suspect setting a ballot drop box ablaze with an incendiary device in Portland — a troubling event among several similar incidents in Oregon and Washington state ahead of the 2024 presidential election.
Authorities described the suspect as a White male, aged 30 to 40, with balding and short hair.
They believe he may have skills in metalwork or welding.
Footage shows the suspect driving up to the ballot box in what appears to be an early 2003-2004 Volvo S-60 sedan.
The vehicle, dark in color with dark wheels and a light-colored interior, lacks the Volvo emblem on its front grill.
During the Oct. 28 incident, the car displayed a fake temporary Washington state license plate on the back, while no front plate was present.
Officials noted the fake plate might no longer be in use.
The first of these ballot box arson attempts occurred on Oct. 8 between 3:30 a.m. and 4 a.m. in Vancouver, Washington, where, fortunately, no ballots were harmed.
However, two more fires were set on Oct. 28 between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m. in Vancouver and Portland.
In the Vancouver incident, hundreds of ballots were destroyed, while Portland saw damage to just three ballots.
Though the ballot boxes are equipped with fire suppression systems, the system inside the Vancouver box malfunctioned, resulting in the loss of more ballots.
The FBI has announced a reward of up to $25,000 for information that leads to the identification, arrest, and conviction of the individual responsible for these attacks.
All three incidents reportedly involved improvised incendiary devices placed outside the ballot boxes.
Investigators were able to recover sufficient materials from the devices to connect all three fires.
Clark County Auditor Greg Kimsey denounced the arson as “a direct attack on democracy” with Election Day fast approaching.
It’s interesting that the FBI was able to track down countless people with even the vaguest connection to January 6th, but can’t seem to find people who are burning actual ballots.
