There’s no love lost between the Bidens and Obamas. But this crosses a line.
Because Hunter Biden backstabbed Barack Obama for the most insane reason imaginable.
Hunter Biden Recalls Anger at Obama’s Fundraiser Incident
Hunter Biden expressed intense frustration over an incident at a Hollywood fundraiser last year where former President Barack Obama guided then-President Joe Biden offstage after a 10-second pause, according to an excerpt from Jonathan Karl’s upcoming book, “Retribution: Donald Trump and the Campaign that Changed America,” obtained by Axios on Tuesday.
In an interview months later, Hunter told Karl, “I almost jumped up on the stage and said, ‘Don’t ever f–king do that to the president of the United States again — ever.’”
He added, “I knew that that was going to be a meme,” noting that the moment “really, really, really, really pissed me off.” The episode at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles went viral, amplifying concerns about Joe Biden’s age and mental sharpness.
Hollywood Fundraiser Highlights Biden’s Struggles
The June 2024 fundraiser, which raised over $30 million for Joe Biden’s re-election campaign, occurred just before his faltering debate performance against President Donald Trump, which ultimately led to Biden’s withdrawal from the 2024 race.
The event, attended by Hollywood figures like George Clooney, exposed growing unease about the then-president’s condition.
In a New York Times op-ed, Clooney wrote that Biden “was not the Joe ‘big F-ing deal’ Biden of 2010” nor “even the Joe Biden of 2020,” describing him as the same diminished figure seen at the debate.
Journalists Alex Thompson and Jake Tapper, in their book “Original Sin,” noted that Clooney was “shaken to his core” when Biden failed to recognize him, despite their long acquaintance.
Hunter Biden’s Criticism of Clooney and Political Fallout
Hunter Biden sharply criticized Clooney for publicizing his concerns, which fueled calls for Joe Biden to exit the race.
In a July interview on Andrew Callaghan’s YouTube show, “Channel 5,” Hunter said of Clooney, “F‑-k him. F–k him. F–k him and everybody around him.”
He dismissed Clooney’s credibility, stating, “Number one, I agree with [director] Quentin Tarantino, George Clooney is not a f—king actor … he is a brand,” and questioned his influence, saying, “He’s great friends with Barack Obama. F—k you. What do you have to do with f—king anything? Why do I have to f—king listen to you?”
The fundraiser incident and its aftermath highlighted tensions within Democratic circles as Biden’s campaign faced mounting challenges ahead of the 2024 election.
