The Bidens have been trying to lay low. But Hunter Biden is back in the news.
Because Hunter Biden has launched a new massive lawsuit against Fox News.
Hunter Biden Launches Lawsuit Against Fox News Over Allegedly Unauthorized Images
Hunter Biden is reigniting his legal battle against Fox News, claiming the network published explicit images of him without his consent. This lawsuit is related to a since-deleted series aired on the network’s streaming platform.
Initially, Biden filed a lawsuit against Fox News in July but withdrew it after his father, President Joe Biden, suspended his presidential campaign amid concerns about his mental fitness. In response to the revived lawsuit, Fox News issued a statement asserting that “Hunter Biden’s now second lawsuit against FOX News shopped to a different court is once again devoid of any merit.” They emphasized that the core complaint arises from a 2022 streaming program that Biden only addressed after sending a letter in April 2024.
Fox News noted, “The program was removed within days of that letter, in an abundance of caution, but Mr. Biden is a public figure who has been the subject of multiple investigations and is now a convicted felon.” They reiterated their commitment to the First Amendment, stating, “Consistent with the First Amendment, FOX News has accurately covered the newsworthy events of his own making, and we look forward to vindicating our rights in court.”
Biden’s latest lawsuit has been filed in New York state court, a change from his previous federal filing, and it includes both a current and a former Fox executive as defendants. Prior to Biden’s initial legal challenge, Fox News had already removed the controversial streaming series, which depicted him on trial for bribery and foreign-agent charges.

The lawsuit contends that “Defendants published and disseminated these Intimate Images to their vast audience of millions as part of an entertainment program in order to humiliate, harass, annoy, and alarm Mr. Biden and to tarnish his reputation.” It accuses the defendants of knowingly publishing private images that were “hacked, stolen, and/or manipulated digital material” intended to remain confidential and were disseminated unlawfully.
Biden is seeking a jury trial to establish his eligibility for compensatory damages and to determine if Fox News should pay punitive damages for broadcasting the explicit images. The high-profile law firm Geragos and Geragos filed the lawsuit on his behalf in the New York state supreme court, while Fox News aims to have the case moved to federal court.
This lawsuit represents a broader legal strategy by Biden against his political adversaries. Over recent years, Fox News has extensively reported on Hunter Biden’s personal issues, lucrative foreign business dealings, and various legal challenges.
In June, a Delaware jury found Biden guilty on three federal gun charges linked to his purchase of a firearm while addicted to crack cocaine six years ago. Two of these charges involved lying about his drug addiction on gun purchase paperwork, while the third was for possessing the firearm during his addiction. His sentencing is scheduled for later this year, with a potential maximum of 25 years in prison, though he is likely to receive a reduced sentence as a first-time offender.
Additionally, last month, Hunter Biden pleaded guilty to criminal tax charges in California, avoiding trial on nine offenses related to his failure to pay over $1.4 million in taxes on time over a four-year period. Sentencing for these tax charges is set for mid-December.
