Rep. Jasmine Crockett proves she isn’t the brightest bulb with one ridiculous claim

The Left sure can pick them. They have no clue what they’re talking about.

And now Rep. Jasmine Crockett proved she isn’t the brightest bulb with one ridiculous claim.

Crockett’s Baseless Attack on Border Success

Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) launched an odd accusation against the Trump administration this week, suggesting officials might be fabricating the historic drop in illegal border crossings—despite overwhelming data confirming the most secure border in modern history.

In an appearance on NBC News’ “Meet the Press NOW,” Crockett grudgingly admitted the reported declines but quickly pivoted to unsubstantiated claims of dishonesty.

“I will acknowledge that [what is being reported] is that border encounters are lower,” Crockett said.

“I will also say that we know that this administration has not been the most honest when it comes to reporting numbers, as we know that there’s now reporting that they have not been honest about the jobs numbers.”

Undeniable Data Proves Trump’s Border Triumph

The numbers tell a different story: illegal crossings have plummeted to record lows under President Trump’s leadership, with federal agents recording just 6,070 migrant apprehensions in June—none released into the interior—and seven consecutive months of zero releases as announced by Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem.

Since Trump took office, total encounters stand at 117,105 along the southern border—all turned away—compared to the Biden-era monthly average of 185,625.

White House spokeswoman Abigail Jackson dismissed Crockett’s remarks sharply.

“This is a bizarre conspiracy theory from a woman who couldn’t even properly read the FEC website before telling lies on the House floor. It’s a fact that the border is the most secure in history, and dangerous criminal illegal aliens are being deported thanks to President Trump’s policies,” Jackson said.

Secretary Noem reinforced the achievements: “Month after month, we are delivering results that were once thought impossible: the most secure border in history and unmatched enforcement successes.”

Crockett Shifts to Familiar Criticisms

Unable to dispute the facts, Crockett resorted to broader attacks on enforcement methods.

“What I can tell you is that he has invoked a very inhumane way of carrying out immigration,” she said.

“What I also can tell you is that he has not worked through the Congress, and that’s what we need is comprehensive immigration reform.”

“What I also can tell you is that we have a historic number of people that have died in ICE custody since he’s been in.”

“What I also can tell you is that we have a historic number of American citizens that have been rounded up, and what I can also tell you is that this Supreme Court, unfortunately, has basically given him carte blanche to go after people because of an accent or because of what they look like, and that is wrong.”

These claims come as at least 30 migrants have died in ICE custody in 2025—higher than recent years but in line with historical peaks—while public support for Trump’s immigration policies shows signs of softening amid the administration’s tough stance.

Crockett’s skepticism appears out of step with the verified progress restoring order at the border through decisive executive action.
