President Donald Trump fired back at the Supreme Court following its recent blow to his tariff policies, warning that a similar misguided decision on his birthright citizenship executive order would hand a massive advantage to China and other nations exploiting America’s immigration system.
In a fiery Truth Social post, Trump highlighted how such rulings undermine U.S. strength while boosting foreign interests, underscoring his commitment to prioritizing American citizens and securing the nation’s future.
Trump’s Sharp Critique of Supreme Court Missteps
Amid fallout from the Court’s 6-3 ruling striking down key elements of his tariff agenda, Trump expressed frustration with the justices—except for the “Great Three” who supported his administration.
He posted on Truth Social: “The supreme court (will be using lower case letters for a while based on a complete lack of respect!) of the United States accidentally and unwittingly gave me, as President of the United States, far more powers and strength than I had prior to their ridiculous, dumb, and very internationally divisive ruling.”
Trump accused the Court of decisions that favor adversaries, stating: “Our incompetent supreme court did a great job for the wrong people, and for that they should be ashamed of themselves (but not the Great Three!). The next thing you know they will rule in favor of China and others, who are making an absolute fortune on Birthright Citizenship, by saying the 14th Amendment was NOT written to take care of the ‘babies of slaves,’ which it was as proven by the EXACT TIMING of its construction, filing, and ratification, which perfectly coincided with the END OF THE CIVIL WAR.”
He added: “How much better can you do than that? But this supreme court will find a way to come to the wrong conclusion, one that again will make China, and various other Nations, happy and rich. Let our supreme court keep making decisions that are so bad and deleterious to the future of our Nation – I have a job to do.”

Restoring Integrity to the 14th Amendment
Trump’s executive order, signed on his first day back in the White House last year, aims to correct what his administration views as a long-standing misinterpretation of the 14th Amendment.
The amendment reads: “All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.”
The order would end automatic citizenship for children born in the U.S. to undocumented parents or those with temporary legal status, arguing that such individuals are not fully “subject to the jurisdiction” of the U.S. This bold move breaks with over 150 years of precedent but aligns with Trump’s hard-line immigration stance, designed to prevent exploitation by foreign entities and ensure citizenship benefits true Americans first.
