ICE agents have gotten a bad rap from Democrats. But they are the heroes this country needs right now.
And ICE just made a dramatic rescue of this young American.
In Minnesota, two off-duty ICE officers turned a potential tragedy into a triumph of courage and quick thinking. While grabbing a bite at a restaurant in Plymouth, a Minneapolis suburb, these federal agents sprang into action when a desperate mother rushed up, begging for help with her lifeless four-year-old son. The boy had slipped into a hotel pool chasing a toy and stayed underwater for more than five minutes, leaving him unresponsive and on the brink of death, according to the local police department.
The officers started CPR right there on the spot. Their steady hands and expert training kept the child’s heart going until paramedics showed up and took over. Thanks to their efforts, the little boy came back around, breathing again and fighting for another day.
The Plymouth Police Department didn’t let this act of bravery go unnoticed, according to a letter obtained by The Daily Wire. The police department sent the letter straight to ICE, hailing the agents for jumping in “without hesitation … immediately began CPR and activated emergency medical services.” It’s the kind of no-nonsense response that saves lives in those make-or-break moments.
That letter painted a grim picture of the scene: “The child was not breathing and showed no signs of life.”
But these ICE pros didn’t flinch. They knew every second counted, and their skills turned the tide against what could have been a heartbreaking loss.
Plymouth PD stressed how vital those first minutes are in an emergency. “In a situation like this, the first few minutes of emergency aid and quality CPR are critical. Without the quick response and professional actions [of the officers] the outcome of this event would have likely been tragic.”
It’s a stark reminder of what real heroism looks like on the ground.
When the department chatted with one of the officers, he brushed off the praise like it was no big deal.
He “tried to downplay” the whole thing, showing the humble grit that defines our law enforcement. These guys don’t seek the spotlight—they just do the job.
Still, Plymouth PD made sure to shout their thanks from the rooftops:
“On behalf of the Plymouth Police Department, I want to extend our thanks and gratitude for the efforts [of the ICE officers] in saving the life of a 4-year-old boy … truly excellent work.”
It’s about time we celebrate these unsung guardians who step up when it matters most.
The praise didn’t stop at the local level—the Department of Homeland Security jumped in to honor their “heroism and swift action … to save the life of a sweet, innocent child.”
These agents embody the dedication that keeps America safe, day in and day out. Their story cuts through the noise of critics who constantly bash law enforcement.
