Liberal billionaires just turned their crosshairs on ICE

All ICE is doing is enforcing the law. But they’ve got a big target on their backs.

Now liberal billionaires just turned their crosshairs on ICE.

The Facade of Spontaneous Outrage Crumbles

What the left peddles as authentic grassroots fury against ICE is nothing more than a well-oiled machine funded by shadowy billionaire networks, some with alarming ties to Communist China.

In Minneapolis, a massive “ICE Out” march drew an estimated 15,000 activists chanting demands to dismantle federal immigration enforcement, but behind the scenes, it’s elite donors pulling the strings. These protests, erupting conveniently during President Trump’s terms, reveal the hypocrisy of progressives who claim to fight “the man” while being propped up by ultra-wealthy puppeteers.

The so-called 50501 network, which organized the event, sprang up anonymously on Reddit after Trump’s second inauguration in January 2025. Founded by a mysterious user known as u/Evolved_Fungi, it masquerades as a decentralized response to Trump’s policies. But experts aren’t buying the organic narrative.

“My team’s best judgement is that it’s the Neville Singham network that is most active [in Minnesota], partly because that’s the most crazy network. But they aren’t alone,” said Scott Walter of the Capital Research Center. Singham, a billionaire operating out of Shanghai, funnels cash to radical groups like The People’s Forum and the Party for Socialism and Liberation, raising red flags about foreign meddling in American affairs.

Billionaire Backers and Radical Alliances

Dig deeper, and the funding trail leads straight to the usual suspects on the left: George Soros’s Open Society Foundation, the Ford Foundation, the Arabella network, Swiss billionaire Hansjörg Wyss, the Amalgamated Charitable Foundation, and the McKnight Foundation. These entities have poured millions into anti-Trump causes since 2016, with Wyss alone shelling out $293.6 million to various groups. The Sunrise Movement snagged at least $2 million from Arabella since 2016, while Indivisible raked in $107,000 from Arabella, $6.5 million from Wyss, and $7.6 million from Open Society.

Even more disturbing is the blending of mainstream leftists with hardcore communists. “What’s new is, we are seeing truly extreme communist splinter groups showing up alongside an American Federation for Teachers union or the Ford Foundation. That’s a disturbing trend for us who follow these things. Normally, they wouldn’t have been cheek by jowl publicly with those people… That kind of self-policing on the left seems to be disappearing,” Walter noted. Groups like Unidos Minnesota and Monarca benefit from $1 million in grants funneled through Tending the Soil Minnesota, while Voices of Florida pocketed $100,000 from the Ford Foundation. The Bernie Sanders-linked Political Revolution and the American Federation of Teachers are also in the mix, showing how far the rot has spread.

Ian Oxnevad from the National Association of Scholars points out the selective outrage: “Have you noticed there’s no pro-Palestinian and anti-ICE protests going on at the same time? If it was organic, you would see multiple protests going on simultaneously, but you don’t see that… There’s no mass protests like this against what is going on in Iran, for example, or any of number of genocides that have happened. It’s always very specific causes that are anti-Western, essentially.” This cherry-picking exposes the protests as manufactured chaos aimed at undermining American sovereignty.

Unmasking the Coordinated Assault on America

The left’s panic is palpable as Trump rolls back their destructive agendas, something spineless Republicans of the past never dared.

“I don’t think it’s just anti-Trump. Trump threatens what the left has seen as a lot of progress that they’ve made towards their agenda over the past several decades… Typically you have Republicans that don’t really roll back any left-wing initiatives, they just slow them down. Trump’s actually rolling a lot of them back. That threatens the left’s agenda overall. And that’s something they haven’t really seen before,” Oxnevad explained.

House Oversight Committee Republicans are investigating Singham’s network for potential Foreign Agents Registration Act violations and links to Chinese Communist Party propaganda.

Meanwhile, the mainstream media plays along, portraying these astroturfed events as heartfelt uprisings. “The mainstream media is very happy to be always pretend it’s just poor ordinary Americans outraged by this horrible injustice. But, no, the guy who organized it is a leader in five or 10 different little entities,” Walter said. The 50501 network has already claimed credit for 11 mass demonstrations since Trump’s return, including anti-Elon Musk rallies and “No Kings” protests, all shrouded in opacity.

u/Evolved_Fungi, in a rare interview, gushed about the turnout: “I really felt like people needed something to connect to, and just seeing everybody struggle with what to do it was like ‘here. Here’s a date. Here’s a time. Here’s a place. Go.’ […] It was amazing. I was absolutely thrilled with the response.” But with funders like Arabella, Ford, and Open Society stonewalling inquiries, the true agenda remains hidden. This isn’t democracy in action—it’s a billionaire-funded assault on law and order, designed to sow division and weaken America from within.
