The Left is losing their minds. And it’s all being documented for posterity.
Now this rabid Congresswoman went off the rails on this Trump official.
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is accusing White House border czar Tom Homan of trying to silence and intimidate her by suggesting she could be prosecuted for advising illegal immigrants on how to deal with deportation officers.
The far-left Democrat from New York lashed out after Homan urged the Justice Department to investigate her, warning that she could be “in trouble” for releasing a “know your rights” video aimed at helping illegal immigrants avoid Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
Ocasio-Cortez fired off a letter to Attorney General Pam Bondi, demanding to know whether a federal investigation had been opened against her.
“Mr. Homan’s repeated attempts to use your agency to politically intimidate duly elected officials are a textbook threat to the right to free speech in the United States,” Ocasio-Cortez complained.
“Threatening criminal proceedings for exercising the First Amendment is itself a violation of the First Amendment.”
The clash between Ocasio-Cortez and Homan has been escalating for weeks. Homan, a former acting ICE director, hasn’t held back, calling her “the dumbest congresswoman ever.”
Ocasio-Cortez, never one to back down from a public spat, hit back by labeling Homan and his allies as “cowards” and brushing off his criticism. “He can threaten me with jail & call names all he wants. He’s got nothing else,” she posted on social media.
At the center of the dispute is the video Ocasio-Cortez released, which instructs illegal immigrants on how to avoid cooperating with ICE.
Homan blasted the video as an attempt to help people evade the law, calling it a dangerous move that undermines federal immigration enforcement.
But in her letter to Bondi, Ocasio-Cortez argued that educating people about their rights is part of her duty as an elected official—not a crime.
“A government that uses threats of DOJ investigations to suppress free speech is a threat to all, regardless of political ideology,” she declared, giving Bondi a Wednesday deadline to confirm whether an investigation into her had been launched.
Homan has already praised Attorney General Bondi for her tough stance, including civil lawsuits against sanctuary policies in Illinois and New York.
He’s also floated the idea of using criminal laws against harboring illegal immigrants to hold sanctuary leaders accountable—a move that could target far-left politicians like Ocasio-Cortez who openly defy federal immigration law.
So far, no such criminal cases have been filed, but Homan’s comments signal that consequences could be coming for those who interfere with immigration enforcement.
As the battle over immigration intensifies, the message from the Trump administration is clear: No one is above the law—not even Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
