This post-election video of Jill Biden and Kamala Harris is causing utter chaos

The first lady and the vice president aren’t on the best terms. But now we know just how troubled their relationship really is.

And this post-election video of Jill Biden and Kamala Harris is causing utter chaos.

In a poignant post-election appearance, President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris came together Monday for the first time since Harris’s loss to President-elect Donald Trump.

The two participated in a solemn Veterans Day wreath-laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery, honoring the sacrifices of military service members and their families.

After the wreath-laying ceremony, Harris sat next to First Lady Jill Biden and her husband Doug Emhoff while President Biden made remarks to pay tribute to America’s veterans.

Harris exchanged a quiet smile with her husband – just days after her defeat by Trump, 78, whom she had recently criticized as a “fascist” threatening American democracy.

But she and Jill Biden didn’t exchange many pleasantries. If anything, they both seemed to give each other the cold shoulder.

And can you blame Jill Biden for this reaction towards Harris? The vice president was picked to replace Jill’s husband Joe Biden as the Democrat nominee after leaders within the party were responsible for pressuring the president to drop out of the 2024 presidential race. Many described the move as a coup.

As for his address, Biden seemed to allude to the shift in political power, encouraging unity in the wake of the Republican victories in both the White House and Congress.

“This is the moment to come together as a nation, to keep faith in each other,” he remarked.

“The world is dependent on each of you and all of us, all of you, to keep honoring the women and the men and the families who have borne the battles, to keep protecting everything they fought for, to keep striving to heal our nation’s wounds, to keep perfecting our union.”

The president is set to host Trump at the White House on Wednesday as part of the transition, though it remains unclear if he and Harris had any private discussions during the cemetery visit.

During her time at Arlington, Harris’s motorcade made a brief stop at Section 13, where she knelt at a grave. That area is known for housing the remains of many Civil War soldiers, though the purpose of her stop wasn’t immediately clarified by her office.

The vice president and president addressed the election outcome separately last week.

Harris, having lost both the popular vote and the Electoral College, delivered her concession speech on November 6 at Howard University, her alma mater.

Her remarks left some speculating that she may aim to lead the Democratic Party during its time out of power.

Biden followed with his own remarks the next day, addressing the nation from the Rose Garden, where he pledged a smooth transition of power.
