The age of pushover conservatism is over. Now it’s time to get stuff done.
And Trump’s Border Czar went on Fox News and started throwing punches immediately.
Border Czar Tom Homan announced over the weekend that the Trump administration has already made incredible progress in securing the border, slashing illegal crossings by a staggering 93%—a number that even surpasses the success of Trump’s first term.
Speaking on Fox News’ Sunday Morning Futures, Homan credited President Trump’s decisive action and no-nonsense approach for the rapid turnaround.
“We’ve got the numbers this morning. The crossings on the border are down 93%. 93%!” Homan declared.
“That’s a bigger decrease than under the first Trump administration.”
Homan didn’t mince words about why the strategy is working. “I said it—President Trump’s the game-changer,” he continued.
“No one has had the success he’s had in securing the border. He clearly understands we can’t have strong national security if we don’t have border security. We need to know who’s coming in, what’s coming in, where, and why.”
In just under two weeks, the administration has already achieved tangible results. “We’ve achieved success on the border already,” Homan said.
“We’ve got more work to do. And as far as the deportation operation, I think we got 5,000 arrested the first week, and a majority of them being criminals.”
Homan also took aim at left-wing sanctuary cities, which continue to shield illegal immigrants despite the overwhelming evidence that these policies endanger American communities.
He pushed back against media narratives suggesting the administration is targeting innocent people.
“The ‘non-criminals’ the media keeps talking about? They were arrested in sanctuary cities because you force us into the community rather than allowing us to arrest the bad guy in jail,” Homan explained.
“And when we find that criminal, he’s most likely with others, and they’re going to go, too.”
He made it clear that cities refusing to enforce immigration laws will face the consequences.
“If you want to be a sanctuary city, you’re going to get more agents in the community,” he warned.
