The mainstream media usually plays cover for the Left. But they may be having a change of heart.
Because CNN admitted something live on air that has Democrats sounding the alarm.
You’d have to be living in a cave for decades to miss the all out assault on conservatives in the mainstream media.
Donald Trump has been their favorite target of wild accusations.
But one thing has been that they’ve always covered the tracks of Democrats when they’ve made a mess of things while highlighting even the slightest Republican mistake.
But that narrative could be flipping.
CNN’s Jake Tapper didn’t mince words when he pressed Maryland Governor Wes Moore on the Democratic Party’s apparent anxiety about Vice President Kamala Harris’s role in the race.
“I hear from Democratic friends who are, frankly, terrified that Vice President Harris is not closing the deal,” Tapper said directly.
“I’m sure you have even more Democratic friends than I do. What do you tell them if they reach out to you and say that they’re worried about this election?”
Moore’s response seemed intended to rally the troops, though it didn’t exactly counter the doubts surrounding Harris.
“I would tell people that it’s important that we get to work. The days of the hand-wringing are gone. And one thing we’ve seen is that the vice president continues to make her — make her point and deliver her message. She is converting people,” he said.
However, Moore’s words felt more like an attempt to steer Democrats into action than an endorsement of Harris’s effectiveness. “You cannot be either/or on this situation and you cannot sit on the sidelines,” he added, warning that indecision from those doubting Harris could cost them.
Tapper’s question came hot on the heels of Harris’s CNN town hall, where her performance did little to quell skepticism.
Dana Bash, Tapper’s co-host, echoed those sentiments, noting feedback suggesting Harris fell short of convincing voters. “What I‘m hearing from people… is that if her goal was to close the deal, they‘re not sure she did that,” Bash admitted.
“And, you know, some people have asked, is she being held to a different standard? Maybe. But that‘s maybe the world that she’s living in.”
Tapper himself pointed out the vice president’s tendency to harp on Donald Trump instead of sharing concrete plans.
“She focused a lot more on Donald Trump, I think it’s fair to say, than she did on many specifics in terms of what she would do as president,” he said bluntly.
After nearly eight years of Trump in the political spotlight, Tapper observed that the public is already well aware of his flaws and quirks.
“And I wonder if you think maybe she did too much,” he added, signaling a growing weariness with Harris’s Trump-centered strategy as her own message remains muddled and unconvincing.
