Vice President Harris will do anything to accomplish her agenda. It doesn’t matter who she hurts.
And now Donald Trump exposed who Kamala’s public enemy number one is.
Former President Donald Trump is doubling down on his appeal to Catholic and Christian voters, taking direct aim at Kamala Harris in the final days of the presidential race.
At a rally in Charlotte, North Carolina, Trump accused Harris of being “destructive to Christianity” and slammed the Biden-Harris administration for what he called their mistreatment of Catholics, saying they’re “treated worse than anybody.”
This rally, just 15 days before Election Day, was part of Trump’s “11th Hour Faith Leaders Meeting” series in the crucial battleground state. Trump has a slight lead in North Carolina, though Harris is trailing closely behind, with the race within the margin of error.
“Harris is very destructive to Christianity and very destructive to evangelicals and to the Catholic Church,” Trump warned the crowd. “She is your worst nightmare. Much worse, much worse than Biden, and he wasn’t so hot.”
Trump didn’t hold back when referencing a leaked FBI memo that outlined an investigation into “radical traditionalist Catholics” and their supposed links to “far-right white nationalist movements.”
The memo suggested that the FBI infiltrate Catholic churches that offer traditional Latin Mass. Though the memo was later retracted, Trump seized on it as evidence of what he claims would happen under a Harris presidency.
“The FBI would send spies into Catholic churches if Harris wins,” Trump declared. “If you’re Catholic, there is no way you can be voting for these people. These people are a nightmare.”
Though the FBI tried to downplay the memo as the work of just one field office, further investigation revealed that multiple offices had been involved.
Harris’s administration tried to brush off the matter with claims of “no malicious intent,” but Trump is using it to stoke fears about religious persecution under her leadership.
Trump also revisited an incident where two college students were allegedly removed from a Harris rally for shouting “Jesus is Lord.”
In typical Trump fashion, he amplified the moment as a direct attack on Christianity, telling his supporters, “Kamala Harris ridiculed them, mocked them, and told them they were at the wrong rally.”
In an effort to further energize his base, Trump vowed to take aggressive action against what he called “transgender insanity” in public schools, promising to ban transgender surgeries on minors and prevent men from competing in women’s sports.
He positioned himself as the defender of traditional values, proclaiming, “God created two genders, male and female.”
Trump is also seeking to dismantle the IRS’s ability to penalize churches that speak out on political issues, promising to protect religious freedoms just as he did during his first term.
“On Nov. 5, Christian voters need to turn out in the largest numbers ever,” Trump said, calling for a massive show of support from faith-based voters.
Meanwhile, Trump has been courting Latino Christians as well, attending an event in Miami where Catholic actor Eduardo Verástegui and Goya Foods CEO Bob Unanue prayed over him, asking for divine guidance to “make America Godly again.”
Harris, scrambling to win over Christian voters, made her own play by visiting two predominantly Black Protestant churches in Georgia over the weekend. But with Trump holding a narrow lead in that state as well, her efforts seem to be falling flat.
A report from Arizona Christian University showed that over 100 million Americans who identify with a religious faith are planning to sit out this election.
Among them are millions of Catholics and Protestants—a potentially untapped base that could make or break the race for either candidate. Trump, ever the opportunist, is making sure that faith voters know exactly where he stands.
