Joe Rogan turned on Trump in a huge shake-up with major ramifications

Rogan helped Trump get elected in 2024. But now there isn’t much love.

Because Joe Rogan turned on Trump in a huge shake-up with major ramifications.

Rogan Mocks Trump’s AI-Generated Image and Explanation

Podcaster Joe Rogan ridiculed an AI-generated image posted by President Donald Trump that many interpreted as portraying the president in a Jesus-like role.

The image, showing Trump in white and red robes with light emanating from his hands as if healing the sick, was shared on social media during a public dispute with Pope Leo XIV over U.S. military actions in Iran.

It quickly drew accusations of blasphemy from critics and backlash from some supporters. Trump later explained that the image was meant to depict him “as a doctor,” prompting further controversy before he deleted the post.

Rogan addressed the incident during a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience with guest Andy Stumpf, a retired Navy SEAL. The conversation touched on money in politics, leading Rogan to joke about an “AI God” solving systemic issues.

While discussing entrenched corruption and pharmaceutical influence, Stumpf asked: “I feel like it’s so deeply entrenched in our political system as part of it as well to that the money transfer. How do you break that?”

Rogan responded humorously: “AI God. AI God has to come alive. Take over the system… that created that Jesus meme that Trump just posted. That’s AI God.”

Stumpf replied sarcastically: “Joe, I told you. He explained it. He was a doctor.”

Rogan quipped back: “That’s what they call him. That’s what AI God calls Jesus. Jesus is a doctor.”

Stumpf then expressed broader concern: “The mental gymnastics involved in some of these people who are so ideologically captured is shocking to me.”

Rogan agreed the situation was “weird,” adding: “It’s weird because there’s no way there should be this kind of money in politics.”

Broader Context of Criticism and Trump’s Record

The segment reflects Rogan’s recent pointed remarks about Trump’s presidency. In earlier discussions, particularly regarding military involvement in Iran, Rogan questioned the alignment with Trump’s campaign promises, stating: “it just doesn’t make any sense to me, unless we’re acting on someone else’s interests, like particularly Israel’s interests… Well, it just seems so insane based on what he ran on… I mean, this is why a lot of people feel betrayed, right? He ran on ‘no more wars’ and ‘these stupid senseless wars,’ and then we have one that we can’t even really clearly define why we did it.”

The AI image incident has sparked debate across political and religious lines, with some viewing it as inappropriate self-promotion and others defending it as satirical or misinterpreted.

Rogan’s long-form platform has previously hosted Trump for a notable 2024 interview, but he has grown more critical on certain policy outcomes.

The episode underscores ongoing tensions in public discourse around symbolism, media, and political messaging in the current administration.
